Razor & Tie Band For Today's New Album Immortal Explodes Onto The Billboard Top 200 Chart Debuting At #15
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Razor & Tie) Razor & Tie's latest developing act For Today's new studio album Immortal crashes into the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart this week debuting at #15 and #3 on the Independent Chart with over 14,700 albums sold in its first week out. Immortal also lands on a number of other Billboard charts including: #1 on the Hard Music Chart, #1 on the Christian Current/Contemporary Chart, #1 on the Top Christian/Gospel Chart and #7 on the Rock Music Chart.

The impressive debut of Immortal nearly doubles first week sales of For Today's previous 2010 album, Breaker (Facedown) which sold 7,400 in its first week.

John Franck, Razor & Tie Senior Vice President of Marketing comments, "This is an exciting sales debut for Razor & Tie. For Today is a band that our entire label feels deeply passionate about. They embody all the things we look for in a young, developing rock act—great songs, a tireless work ethic, and a deep, meaningful connection to their fan base which is very very real. This band is an important cornerstone in our continuing mission to build out our Rock presence. We congratulate them on their impressive sales week and look forward to working together in the months ahead."

Immortal, produced by Will Putney (Lamb Of God, Suicide Silence) features 11 new tracks and includes special guest appearances from Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D., Jake Luhrs of August Burns Red and Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant. The album was released to major critical acclaim with Outburn Magazine calling it "A formidable return" and Revolver Magazine declaring it to be "Rife with crafty guitar hooks and scream-along choruses." Alternative Press also commented, "For Today have dialed back the bombast just enough to make their pounding combination of furious punk and vicious metal sound more immediate and live sounding."

For Today formed in 2005 and has since released one EP and three full-length albums. The hardcore-influenced metal band is known for their non-stop touring, high energy live performance, and unrelenting message. Having played over 1000 shows in five continents, For Today has toured with Emmure, We Came As Romans, Winds of Plague, The Devil Wears Prada. The band headlined the Scream The Prayer Tour 2010 with Maylene and The Sons of Disaster and also was on the Motel 6 Rock Yourself to Sleep Tour with We Came As Romans this past year. To date, For Today has sold over 70,000 albums in North America. As forthcoming about their faith as they are about their musical prowess, For Today have become widely known as one of modern metal's most technically proficient bands. For Today is: Mattie Montgomery (lead vocals), Ryan Leitru (lead guitar, vocals), Brandon Leitru (bass), Michael Reynolds (rhythm guitar), and David Morrison (drums, percussion).

For Today's Immortal is Razor & Tie's most recent Rock success story. The label's roster also includes All That Remains, The Sword, P.O.D., Chelsea Grin, Nonpoint, Norma Jean, Shadows Fall, Attila, For The Fallen Dreams and developing acts like Defiler, I Am War, Such Gold and more to be announced soon.
