Runner Runner Announce Intimate Acoustic Spring Trek Starting 5/16; Joining Good Charlotte On Tour
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records) Pop-rock band Runner Runner will hit the road on May 16th for a special, intimate acoustic headline tour as a treat to fans. The 16-city Spring trek will open at the Visulite Theater in Charlotte, NC running through June 3rd at Redwood Art Space in Wilkes Barre, PA. The band will then join Good Charlotte and Yellowcard on their co-headline summer tour starting June 10th at the House of Blues San Diego, CA and ending June 24th at Jannus Live! in St. Petersburg, FL. See full list of tour dates below.

Runner Runner's self titled debut (EMI/Capitol Records/ MRV Music/C.E. Music) was released on February 15th. They've recently been on the road with The Pretty Reckless, Secondhand Serenade, White Tie Affair, 2AM Club and Forever The Sickest Kids plus played shows with such bands as Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, Gym Class Heroes and Angels & Airwaves. The April 2011 issue of Alternative Press named Runner Runner one of "The Bands To Watch In 2011". The band's latest single, "I Can't Wait (Be My Wife)" impacted Top 40 radio three weeks ago and has been climbing up the charts quickly. The home made video for "I Can't Wait (Be My Wife)", available below, was created by lead singer Ryan Ogren as a tribute to his fiance.

"So Obvious" was the band's first charting single on the Top 40 radio airplay charts and Runner Runner performed the song live on The Late Show With David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The video was played on MTV Hits, MTV and Teen Nick. Another album track "Hey Alli" was tapped earlier this year as the iTunes Single of the Week and was accompanied by two videos - a performance clip and a short film directed by Isaac Rentz (Cage The Elephant, Pistol Youth, Manchester Orchestra).

Runner Runner is the first band signed to Clear Entertainment/C.E. Music, a new label formed by David Letterman's Worldwide Pants Inc. through a partnership with EMI's Capitol Records and music industry veteran Jack Ponti's MRV Label.
