Recently reunited Candlebox dropped their long awaited, first full length album in ten years, "Into the Sun" featuring the hit single "Stand" on July 22, 2008. With a polished, blues-based sound, CANDLEBOX has sold over 4 million albums in the U.S. alone. High profile tours with Living Colour, Rush and Metallica helped propel the band to the top of the charts with hit singles such as "Far Behind" and "You." The band gets back in touch with their fans on their 2008 summer tour, traveling from Hollywood, California to Buffalo, New York and stopping on the way to headline Radio 104.5's Totally Free Concert. Their time apart has nurtured chemistry and mutual personal evolution beyond that which permanently entrenched them on rock radio playlists with the likings of Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Opening Performances
Radio 104.5 delivers a cross-section lineup of familiar bands, exciting new bands and premiers some of the areas awesome local talent. Give and Take and All or Nothing are two local bands that have established a following validating their opening performances in the lineup of this explosive rock concert. Natives of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, the five guys of Give and Take proclaim themselves to be "regular dudes who jam and write songs." Lead vocalist Matt, guitarists Jason and Ian, bassist Paul and drummer Tom make it self-evident in their new recording "Right Here Right Now." All or Nothing features four girls from Asbury, New Jersey who came together in December of 2007. In 2008, All or Nothing won the BlueCross River Rink Battle of the Bands. Lead vocalist Alexa plays rhythm guitar, Ashley plays lead guitar, Kelly plays bass and Laura resides on drums. Currently in the process of recording, this all girl band doesn't seem to champion their "rock band," they want people to recognize they're in a "girl band!"
DESOTO JONES
The first band ever on Radio 104.5's Live at Five show, Dosoto Jones follows a rock n roll philosophy of no-bull and powerful delivery. Cherry Hill natives Desoto Jones have their own eclectic tastes but share the love of the music they create together. The three Staszewski brothers and long-time friends, Ean Kyler and Chris Gill can be heard playing live on August 8th on Radio 104.5. Their gripping and emotional blend of rock music was selected for Radio 104.5's free concert after Radio 104.5 brought the band into the station to perform live and decided to put them on a compilation album the station plans to release. After releasing their full length album "Aurora," ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY gave the group the coveted spot as one the bands to "break in 2008." MTV regularly uses their music in 8 shows that are currently airing.
CAROLINA LIAR
Next to take the stage will be Carolina Liar. Frontman Chad Wolf's songs effortlessly tow the line between infectious pop music and a deeper, darker rock discourse. "There's been so much manufactured stuff, but I wanted something that you can stand behind," Chad explains, "where you can defend each and every verse." Chad's belief in the music eventually brought him to Atlantic Records. With their songs recently featured during MTV's show, "The Hills," Wolf now has the platform and support he has needed to let his music reach the world.
LOCAL H
Local H are regarded for their powerful sound and unique two-man lineup with Scott Lucas on vocals and guitar and Brian St. Clair on drums, Local H is known for derisive lyrics, heavy guitars and feedback, energetic live shows, and an active relationship with their fans. Local H dropped their seventh album on May 13, 2008, titled "12 Angry Months." "12 Angry Months" is Local H's first new studio album since 2004's "Whatever Happened to P.J. Soles?" The band performs regularly and stops at Radio 104.5's Totally Free Concert on their national 2008 summer tour.
Radio 104.5 will be on site to mingle with their listeners. Program Director for Radio 104.5 Johnny Allers and Assistant Program Director Wendy Rollins will host the day's events. "As a relatively new station, we though this would be a great service to provide for our audience and help integrate ourselves into the Philadelphia area community," said Allers.
