Soul Starlet Emma Hern Releases Self Titled EP Via Audiofemme Available 5/11
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With a charming pop gem and an equally sweet and sassy visual to go with it under her belt, it's time for Emma Hern to serve her debut confection for all the world to enjoy. This Nashville-via-Boston-via-Richmond crooner is an exciting new find, bridging the gap between classic idols like Aretha and Bonnie Raitt and modern stars like Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift with her retro rock-soul sound and on-stage electricity.

Two days ahead of its release, Audiofemme is now exclusively streaming Emma Hern's debut in full. True to the old-school rock n' roll spirit, most of the EP was tracked live, Emma and band doing full takes of each song. She explains:
"I think that rock and soul sound is what naturally comes out of me when I sit down to write. It is ingrained in my heart, so I focus really hard on trying to add some pop sensibilities in my choruses to make it more current...The band and I were all together in one room doing full takes of the songs, so the arrangements and mixing process were really vital in keeping it fresh."

Our first taste, "Love is Killing Me," showed off Hern's lyrical chops with an accompanyingmusic video, showing off her playfully take-no-prisoners attitude in a feminist project helmed by an all-female crew.
Up next for Emma Hern is her NASHVILLE release show May 16 at City Winery. And as this is only the first step, there's sure to be lots more - stay tuned!
