Vattica Releases New Single 'Run Baby'
Hollywood, CA (Top40 Charts/ Vattica official website) Vattica, an alternative rock three-piece band that is fast becoming the talk of Hollywood, today released a new single entitled "Run, Baby".

The track combines driving four-on-the-floor drums, crunching guitars, punishing bass and snarling yet harmonic vocals, creating a wall of sound that hearkens back to the raw energy of bands like Motley Crue or Guns 'n Roses, while maintaining the intellectualism of groups like Muse and 30 Seconds To Mars and the pop sensibility of radio friendly acts like Green Day.

"It's about the type of human being who is utterly narcissistic, almost in a cannibalistic way", said lead singer/guitarist Alexander Millar.

"The song is a warning, told from the point of view of someone who has already fallen prey to the charms and manipulations of a character that has no qualms about completely destroying another person to get what they want."

"Run, Baby" also features a guest vocal appearance by Ron "Thunderwood" Underwood, singer of the Los Angeles electronic rock band 9 Electric.

Underwood's vocals have a pleasantly harsh, raw quality to them, and compliment Millar's voice well; hearing the two singers together is much akin to a well-crafted cocktail served by your favorite bartender around midnight: Smooth with a strong kick and thick with late night sexuality.

One of Vattica's most enjoyable aspects is its rhythm section; bassist Joey Jane and drummer Prentice Daggs have the sound of musicians who have been playing together for decades, so it shocked us to learn that the band is barely a year old. Jane's basslines are highly melodic with a thundering quality to them, reminiscent of rock legends like Mike Dirnt or Nikki Sixx, while Dagg's drumming is powerful and dynamic in the vein of players such as Shannon Leto, Tommy Lee or Tre Cool.

Speaking of Green Day, Millar's rhythm guitar playing is clearly influenced by Billie Joe Armstrong. Big, chunky power chords are smashed through a bratty, thrashing distortion that is very evocative of Green Day's guitar sound on Insomniac. The solo on the track also has the punk-blues feel of many of the solos on American Idiot.

Vattica plans to release a music video for "Run, Baby" on May 7th, 2013. The video stars Alecia Joy Patterson, a Hollywood DJ/Musician/Model, and was directed by Thunderwood from 9 Electric.

"It was awesome working with these guys. From the first meeting, whatever outlandish thing I proposed was either accepted or outdone", said Thunderwood.

"They took a big chance on me since it's essentially my debut as a director, but they saw a couple tests I shot and we all liked the results... Anyway, I've found a new addiction and I have Vattica to thank."
