elbow Releases New Single Mix Of "What Am I Without You"

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) elbow release a further track from their forthcoming studio album, 'Flying Dream 1' on Friday 7th January 2022. The album, characterized by UNCUT as 'masterfully subtle' and awarded album of the month status by Record Collector in celebration of 'a record that has turned upheaval into something beautiful', has been greeted by critics as one of their finest with 4- and 5-star reviews throughout.

'What Am I Without You', the closing track on their ninth studio album is an uplifting song that celebrates the centrality of family to the joy of human existence. Singer Guy Garvey says of the track:
"Lyrically it's about a beautiful acceptance that death is as much a part of life as much as birth, the idea that the world keeps turning without us. It may sound like I'm singing to a child but it's actually written to my wife whilst she was nursing her mother when she was terminally ill, and my role was to support her and my son as we dealt with that as a family. So, in a way it's for both her and my son."

elbow have also announced their first outdoor shows of summer 2022. The band will headline the Lytham Festival on Thursday July 7th with special guest Richard Hawley before crossing the country for a headline show at Scarborough's Open Air Festival on Saturday 9th July.
