LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Recording Academy) - The 2007 GRAMMY Celebration™, an exclusive invitation-only, star-studded event, takes place for the third consecutive year at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Feb. 11 following the 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards, it was announced today by The Recording Academy. The gala — the largest produced by The Academy — attracts GRAMMY winners and nominees, music industry executives and celebrities who attend the live telecast. The 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live from STAPLES Center at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) and televised on the CBS Television Network.

The GRAMMY Celebration is one of the entertainment industry's biggest, most lavish events and a post-GRAMMY telecast highlight, with an all-star lineup of live entertainment including: eight-time GRAMMY winner Chaka Khan, GRAMMY-winning funk group Kool & The Gang, and producer, mixmaster and DJ Chris Cox. Additionally, the GRAMMY Celebration Jazz Lounge will feature saxophonist Gerald Albright, keyboardist Jeff Lorber, guitarist Norman Brown, the Gibson/Baldwin GRAMMY Jazz Ensembles and other special guests.

"The GRAMMY Awards is considered to be the biggest and most important night in music, but the celebration certainly doesn't end there," said Neil Portnow, President of The Recording Academy. "The GRAMMY Celebration draws together winners, nominees, Academy members, and executives from all spectrums of the industry to party all night long at one elegant soirée. Contemporary cuisine, distinctive design and top-notch entertainment make the GRAMMY Celebration the perfect culmination of Music's Biggest Night™!"

The Recording Academy once again will partner with highly regarded event producers Along Came Mary (ACM) to produce the post-telecast GRAMMY Celebration, overseeing all of the event entertainment, décor, menu, and other logistics. Led by The Recording Academy, ACM and its design and lighting team will take the vast convention space and transform it into a dramatic Asian Underground nightscape, complete with a Zen evening garden, a laser light show, lion dancers and aerial performers. A mainstay in the entertainment industry, ACM has masterfully orchestrated many of Hollywood's most distinguished events and has been named top caterer in the nation by numerous publications. The Recording Academy has hired ACM to co-produce the GRAMMY Celebration eight times, as well as the 1st, 3rd and 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY post-parties. The event's menu features beautiful food stations with a variety of delicious cuisine including Asian (hoisin grilled skirt steak, cold miso poached salmon, tat soi salad and wok seared vegetables); Moroccan (chicken tangine, "Kasbah" cous cous, and Marrakech and vegetable platters); Cuban (pulled pork, sweet potato puree, chicken tamales, and ensalada de blanca); Spanish (Catalan guacamole, Spanish meatballs, gazpacho shooters, chicken empanadas, Basque fried potatoes, pennette and cheese, and Valencia salad); and Indian (Puri lamb kabobs, Bombay chicken kabobs, vindaloo shrimp skewers, vegetable curry and sweet basmati rice, and vegetable samosas). Delicate desserts like Asian apple pear cobbler, ethereal coconut cake bites, ginger cheesecake, fortune cookies, tres leche con bananas and of course, ACM's signature warm brownie pudding also will be available throughout the evening.

The 2007 GRAMMY Celebration also will feature beer, wines and spirits provided by Anheuser-Busch Beer, Patrón Tequila, Belvedere Vodka, Pyrat Rum, Forest Glen Wines and Codorniu Cava Champagne.

This year's GRAMMY Celebration will again approach the traditional "gifting" of guests in an innovative way. The Recording Academy has partnered with gifting company Distinctive Assets and Hilton Hotels to create a specially designed area where guests will have the opportunity to take home some amazing prizes. Each guest will be given a "golden key" upon entering the GRAMMY Celebration which they will take to the "Hilton Serenity Lounge" for a chance to win very special prizes from Hilton and other companies including Chadsworth & Haig; Crabtree & Evelyn; Distinctive Assets; Dr. Bryant Bruce; Elliott Lucca; Gibson; Hilton Whistler; Impromptu Gourmet; Joluka; JVC; Lancel; Logitech; Nespresso; Netflix; Partow Gallery; Philips; The Prem Rawat Foundation; Uroboros, Inc.; and Verizon. These companies will be showcasing unique surprises that will delight party guests while redefining the traditional party gift bag.

Additionally, local non-profit food distribution service Angel Harvest will pick up any unserved leftover food from the 2007 GRAMMY Celebration and deliver it to area soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters to benefit the hungry in Los Angeles. The "Robin Hood of gourmet food," Angel Harvest picks up food year-round from special events (including the Oscars) and provides meals for those who need it most. Since 1995, Angel Harvest has picked up enough food for more than 7,500,000 meals. The 8 millionth meal is expected to be delivered by Spring 2007.
