2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize Now Open For Entries - And 2019 Dates Announced
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Hyundai Mercury Prize has announced its dates for 2019. The shortlist of twelve Hyundai Mercury Prize 'Albums of the Year' will be revealed at the 'Albums of the Year' Launch event on Thursday, 25 July 2019.

The Hyundai Mercury Prize recognises the best new British music, celebrating artistic achievement across an eclectic range of contemporary music genres.

The Awards Show will be held at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith on Thursday, 19 September 2019. The event will feature live performances from many of the twelve shortlisted artists.

The evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner of the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize for Album of the Year.

Hyundai Motor, the Mercury Prize's title partner, will be celebrating the shortlisted artists and continuing to support innovations in British music.

The 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize will open for entries on Thursday, 25 April 2019 and will close at 6pm on Wednesday, 15 May 2019.

Record labels wishing to submit albums can email [email protected] to receive more information.

Albums by British or Irish artists released between Saturday 21 July 2018 and Friday 19 July 2019 (inclusive) are eligible for entry, although submissions must be received by 15 May 2019.
