A New Great Pop Album From An Artist Who Never Thought Of Themselves As Doing Pop Music
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) I have done punk, rock, electronica, dance, jazz, folk, alternative, spoken word, country, hip hop, this is first all and all out POP album I done. I took all my prior music down as Michael Blaney, I have put re put up one album under my punk name MICHAEL FREDERICK - PUNK ATRON. And new pop album under THE CUSTODIAN name, the instrumental version I just released today called POP MATRIX. I will rebooting all my old albums in next months and releasing the vocal version of POP MATRIX under MICHAEL BLANEY.

I don't think you are allowed to have an ego in anything ever. Like with Manson, sure he is a genius but there was a time when I personally felt he let his genius take over for his music, and when that happened he became uninteresting. It's like with Michael Jackson, one of my favorite artists, but he borrowed from James Brown and Diana Ross, and cultivated it into his own thing by mixing hard rock, dance, r and b and pop. Does that make him a genius, no. Was THRILLER ground breaking, yes. But that term is used so loosely. There is always someone who is gonna be the first to do something, that is just way it is with all things. But THRILLER wasn't my favorite album of his, DANGEROUS was and that is just my opinion and that all it comes down to. And you know I see all these hateful or rude comments under music artists and I think to myself how much time people have spreading hate where hate doesn't need to be said. You can dislike something, doesn't mean its not good, no one knows what artist was going through at the time, you can't judge that. You just can't. You can judge the generalizations like when someone says ANN WILSON from HEART has one of the best voices. The astatic of that is true, but doesn't mean every song ANN WILSON does or doesn't live up to that principal. If it were true then rock and roll and hip hop would never exist. Like my new project POP MATRIX. Is it my best album? There no such thing, each project is different, and if you feel you did your best then what left do you have to prove or push for yourself. With POP MATRIX I was interested in creating the best concept POP album I felt I could for me and I feel I did that. I just released it under the name THE CUSTODIAN and the instrumental version I just released on all streaming and its call POP MATRIX: THE INSTRUMENTALS. THE CUSTODIAN, POP MATRIX: THE INSTRUMENTALS. Of course its a little different than the vocal one gonna be. Some of the songs are a lot shorter on instrumental for a reason or slightly askew. And the final version will have 14 songs not 12. But this version is awesome to workout to, and listen to in car or when working. There are three parts to music to me, the music, lyrics and vocals and they all singly play a final part in the final version of the songs, but alone each of the three components tell a different side of the story for the song. I listen to the POP MATRIX all the time, I love it. And that is the thing, you have to open yourself up to new things, and I admit I am a hellion for not following that at times, but I thought I would be last to like a JUSTIN BEIBER album, but I be damned if his new album PURPOSE isn't really really something very appealing to me and I love it. So you never know.

I never thought I would get POP MATRIX done when I Started less than a year ago, so much going on in my life at the time and still with USAA FEDERAL BANK, the lying thieving scuz bags. I never dealt with such a low grade disgusting fowl venereal disease ridden fifth rate illegal stench filled blood sucking money grubbing evil company in my life. But oddly it made working on the project rewarding to not have to think about their treachery. Which I am developing a whole album project around USAA FEDERAL BANK and its evil cohorts. Music can be a good escape in getting things out. And people can dislike a project or an artist, sometimes its some of the positve/negative feedback that. And the greatest thing about these streaming music services as I as a music listener have a whole new world of music I may not have been exposed to prior and as an artist a whole other world of listeners who may never found me.

I think the best thing a true artist can do for themselves is believe in what they are doing and put out project they believe in at the end of the day. There is a difference to me from being an artist where your creating from ground up yourself and then a label artist who has a huge creative team and dozens of others in production and stuff to make an album soul reason to over market and exploit for the soul purpose of money, no names "TAYLOR SWIFT". Either way is fine, just be honest with yourself and what you want out of your project and the only for sure expectations you can count on is you and what each project means to you.
