Bleach Party's Debut Album NOLA Out Now, Empty Bottle Show January 31st, Paper Machete Show February 2nd
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Chicago surf-punk powerhouse Bleach Party self-released their first full-length album, NOLA, on November 9, 2018. On NOLA - the title inspired by a photograph taken during a 2017 tour to the Big Easy - Bleach Party sheds their previous garage rock leanings for an edgier, punchier guitar-driven sound. Drawing inspirations from bombastic '70s classic rock, the urgency of early '80s punk, and a dash of '90s alt rock, Bleach Party play to their strengths on NOLA. Bleach Party rocks the Empty Bottle Thursday, January 31st and Paper Machete at the Green Mill February 2nd.

Drummer Kaylee Preston's thunderous-and-airtight beats, guitarist Bart Pappas' spirited licks, and bassist Richard Giraldi's thick but playful low end power frontwoman Meg MacDuff's earnest anthems. MacDuff's tongue-in-cheek lyricism documents personal experiences and encounters from relationships ("Tom Cruise Control") to UFOs ("Talkin' Bout UFOs"), and her words are only matched by her powerfully dynamic vocals, which take center stage here. "No Vacancy" is a chugging live-in-the-moment anthem that finds the band channeling their inner Buzzcocks, while "Entertain Yourself" is an ode to childhood imagination in the shape of a big Who-esque rocker.

With NOLA, Bleach Party has finally crafted a record that successfully bottles up the raw, vivacious energy of their much-lauded live show. Bleach Party seems to be maturing in all the right places on NOLA, but the music rocks harder than ever.

Here's what people are already saying about Bleach Party's NOLA:

"If you're someone who longs for the days of the early '00s garage rock revival, when bands like The White Stripes, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Electric Six, and the Von Bondies were the next big thing, you're almost certainly going to love this incendiary collection." - UPROXX

"Blowouts such as "Entertain Yourself" and "Lunar Moods" expand on the surf-rock tinge of the band's signature sound with strutting rhythms and tough-as-Leather Tuscadero vocals from guitarist Meg MacDuff." - Chicago Reader

"The four-piece sticks to its signature surf-rock inspired style with songs like "No Vacancy" while dialing into a slicker, sexier sound in other spots (see "Entertain Yourself"). TLDR: This one was worth the wait." - DO312

"On their debut LP NOLA, they slam into gear with opener "Other's Luggage", only letting off the gas a couple times during this race down the highway of rock. Meg MacDuff's howl brings back visions of X Ray Spex's own Poly Styrene; and Kaylee Preston's drums drive every song from up high in the mix, well above the guitars of MacDuff and Bart Pappas that float below." - Chicago Crowd Surfer
