NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Brian Setzer claimed a Grammy nomination last night in the "Best Rock Instrumental" category for his finger-blistering slice of surf rock, "Mr. Surfer Goes Jazzin," from 'Songs From Lonely Avenue' (Surfdog). Setzer is a 3-time Grammy winner, and this marks his tenth nomination overall. 'Songs From Lonely Avenue,' a 13-song suite inspired by classic Film Noir scores, has been a major critical success: Jim Fusilli at the Wall Street Journal declared that "all that's missing is the movie" while Guitar Player called it "a tour de force of everything we've come to love about Setzer. Badass rockabilly, jaw-dropping guitar licks, sophisticated big-band arrangements." Setzer is currently on the road for his 29-date, seventh annual "Christmas Rocks! Extravaganza" tour. The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will be held Sunday January 31st in Los Angeles. https://www.surfdog.com https://www.briansetzer.com
