DJ Khaled's "Grateful" Is Second Fastest Album To Earn RIAA Gold Status This Year
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) DJ Khaled continues his winning ways. His latest album, Grateful has been certified gold by the RIAA.
DJ Khaled shared the news to his fans on Twitter noting, "We did it !! FAN LUV !! #GRATEFUL #GOLD." The We The Best boss has already raked in numerous plaques for the album. Both singles, "Shining" featuring JAY-Z and Beyonce, and "Wild Thoughts" featuring Bryson Tiller and Rihanna, have also reached gold status.

The Grateful album landed atop the Billboard 200 chart two weeks in a row. The first week out, the album pushed 149,000 copies, 50,000 of which were traditional album sales. But that's not all. "I'm the One" - Khaled's chart-topping single featuring Chance the Rapper, Quavo, Lil Wayne, and Justin Bieber - has now been certified 3x platinum.

Featuring Nicki Minaj, Nas, Alicia Keys, Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Big Sean, and Calvin Harris, Grateful was released last month. The album went on to become his second No. 1 album, selling 149,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
