Diddy Says Jay-Z's '4:44' Is The Best Album Of The Year
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Diddy as a special guest on Drake's Beats 1 program paid homage to Hov and his new album, 4:44, calling it Jigga's best ever and music's album of the year.
"This JAY-Z album is JAY-Z's best album," he explained. "As an artist, you have a responsibility to grow. JAY-Z has inspired me, I inspire people, we all inspire each other. This album is not just an album. 4:44 is necessary. It's not just an album. It's a change of thinking. It's a change in the way we think. We gotta support our own brand. We gotta support each other.
"It ain't no old, it ain't no new," he continued. "Everybody's fly. Y'all ni**as wearing a dress is fly. Ni**as over there wearing jewelry and Dapper Dan, trying to make that shit come back, you guys are fly. Everybody's fly in their own way. This ni**a JAY-Z is great and that 4:44 album is great. If you don't listen to it, you're doing yourself a disservice. Take that, take that, take that. JAY-Z's 4:44 album [is] to me, his best album and the album of the year."

JAY-Z also celebrates Diddy on "Family Feud," a standout off 4:44. "We all lose when the family feuds," raps Hov. "What's better than one billionaire? Two / Especially when they're the same hue as you / I'll be damned if I drink some Belvedere while Puff got CÎROC / Y'all need to stop."

The Bad Boy and Roc Nation bosses have collaborated on a series of tracks, including "Do You Like It…Do You Want It," "I Get Money (Forbes 1,2,3 Remix)" with 50 Cent, and "Young G's" featuring The Notorious B.I.G.

Sean Combs and Shawn Carter are two of music's most business-savvy artists. In May, they were named No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the "Forbes Five." To celebrate this, Diddy shared a photo of himself with JAY-Z. "We push each other," he wrote. "We inspire each other… #BlackExcellence."
