New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Hard Rock International) Hard Rock International is proud to continue its dedication to live music and up-and-coming artists through Hard Rock Rising - the one and only global battle of the bands! The 2012 competition had more than 12,000 bands enter, with 841 bands competing live on Hard Rock stages around the world, but only one of these rising talents will win a spot on the main stage at Hard Rock Calling 2012!

Music enthusiasts around the globe have voted to determine the Top 10 bands that will move onto the final phase of Hard Rock Rising. After battling it out live on global Hard Rock stages and making it through online voting on Hard Rock Facebook pages, these bands are one step closer to winning the grand prize - a spot on the bill at the 2012 Hard Rock Callingmusic festival in London's Hyde Park, featuring headlining performances by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Paul Simon and Soundgarden!

After surviving the latest global online voting phase, these 10 talented bands will be evaluated by a celebrity panel of judges and music industry professionals, includingSteven Van Zandt of the E Street Band, John Gourley, ofPortugal. The Man,Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit, Fyfe Dangerfield of Guillemots, Live Nation Vice President of Promotions Toby Leighton-Popeand Hard Rock International Chief Marketing Officer John Galloway. As part of this final phase, judges will select the lucky band that will be deemed the winner of Hard Rock Rising and be flown to London to perform on the main stage at Hard Rock Calling 2012!

The deserving winner will be given the rock star treatment and flown to London to perform at Hard Rock Calling 2012. Hard Rock's celebrity panel of judges will also select second and third prize winners, who will receive $5,000 and $2,500, respectively, in ReverbNation PROMOTE IT credits, a revolutionary tool that creates targeted, highly effective Facebook advertising campaigns for musicians and venues promoting songs, Facebook pages and concerts.

Greetings From Hyde Park - Hard Rock Calling 2012
Hard Rock Calling, an iconic festival now in its seventh consecutive year, has established itself as one of the UK's premier outdoor music events. The 2012 festival will take place from Friday, July 13 to Sunday, July 15 in London's Hyde Park. Headliners for the festival will include Soundgarden on Friday, July 13, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, who will take the Main Stage on Saturday, July 14 for their second Hard Rock Calling performance, followed by Paul Simon on Sunday, July 15.
