Grammys Odds 2021: Who Are This Year's Grammy Awards Favourites?
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The 63rd annual Grammy Awards are set to take place on March 14, 2021. To get a better idea of who might emerge victorious we've used the best betting websites in Australia to compile a list of 2021 Grammys Odds.

Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Beyonce, Post Malone and Megan Thee Stallion are among the frontrunners to take out the most lucrative prizes like Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist at this year's Grammys. Swift has an edge within the categories she's competing in but Dua Lipa is also a top competitor. Both artists have six nominations each.

Let's take a look at each of these categories and who the bookies are backing to take home Grammys this year.

Album of the Year Odds 2021

  • Folklore (Taylor Swift) - $1.66
  • Future Nostalgia (Dua Lipa) - $4.50
  • Hollywood's Bleeding (Post Malone) - $9.00
  • Women in Music pt. III (HAIM) - $10.00
  • CHILOMBO (Jhene Aiko) - $13.00

Taylor Swift released two albums in 2020 but her first, Folklore (which many critics believe to be her best to-date) is the one that's getting all the attention. It debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart and was the best selling album of 2020 with the most Spotify Day 1 streams ever.

Swift will be hard to beat this year but Dua Lipa is the one the bookies are thinking could do the job with her second studio album Future Nostalgia. The album topped the charts in 13 countries and peaked in the UK for four non-consecutive weeks.

Song of the Year Odds 2021

  • Cardigan (Taylor Swift) - $2.20
  • Don't Start Now (Dua Lipa) - $4.33
  • Black Parade (Beyonce) - $4.50
  • Everything I Wanted (Billie Eilish) - $9.00
  • Circles (Post Malone) - $11.00

Folklore's lead single, "Cardigan", is the song tipped to win the prestigious Song of the Year award this year. The song debuted at number one on the Spotify global chart, Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot Alternative Songs, Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts.

"Don't Start Now", Dua Lipa's lead single from Future Nostalgia never hit the top of the charts but peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart sitting in the top 10 for 25 weeks.

Beyonce's single, "Black Parade" is also one of the favourites. The surprise relase was dropped in the wake of George Floyd's death and the nationwide protests that surronded it and the song became widely influential by criticising systemic racism and celebrating black culture in the US.

Record of the Year Odds 2021

  • Don't Start Now (Dua Lipa) - $1.72
  • Black Parade (Beyonce) - $4.00
  • Everything I Wanted (Billie Eilish) - $10.00
  • Savage (Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyonce) - $11.00
  • Say So (Doja Cat) - $15.00

Record of the year is sometimes confused with song of the year but this award honors the performer (i.e. the singer) as well as the producers, sound engineers and sound mixers whereas song of the year honors the the songwriter(s).

Lipa's "Don't Start Now" and Beyonce's "Black Parade" are the two favourites to take the Record of the Year award in 2021 but Billie Eilish's "Everything I Wanted" and Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce's "Savage" are also given a chance.

Billy Eilish, who won 5 Grammys in 2020, received several nominations this year including for her single "Everything I Wanted". The song was Eilish's hottest song of the year reaching number eight on the Billboard 100 as well as number one in the charts in several countries.

The remix of Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage ft. Beyonce" was a number one hit on the Billboard 100 and went viral on TikTok. It might not be favoured to win the Grammy but there's are convincing argument as to why it should be.

Best New Artist Odds 2021

  • Megan Thee Stallion - $1.90
  • Doja Cat - $2.62
  • Phoebe Bridgers - $9.50
  • Kaytranada - $18.00
  • Noah Cyrus - $23.00

Megan Thee Stallion leads the pack for Best New Artist this year following the success of her song "Savage" and her debut album Good News. The MC also appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and has well and truly cemented herself as one of the hottest rap and pop artists of the year.

Doja Cat is also given a strong chance of claiming the award on the back of her smash hit "Say So" form her 2019 album Hot Pink.

Just over one month out from the big night, the 2021 Grammys already seem to be centered around two artists - Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa. However, something else that stands out are the number of female artists picked to perform well. In these four top categories, 17 of the 20 top five contenders are women..
