Jay Tay Releases New Single 'Like E.T.'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The rap artist from Albuquerque, New Mexico known as Jay Tay has released his new breakout single, titled, 'Like E.T.,' on the Ambitious Ink Entertainment music label. The track is a modern urban anthem of titanic proportions that showcases Tay in his contemporary glory, the present culmination of more than ten years developing his singularly expressive sound, style and mode of hip hop. It is a song of tribulation and triumph, of conquering in the face of adversity, and of standing up to whatever might get in the way of one's attainment.

Jay Tay's music bumps, thumps and slams. Its overall sound is reminiscent of the rap legends of the nineties, particularly the work of street poets and preeminent lyricists Tupac Shakur, Scarface, and KRS-1. Like these great artists, Tay spends most of his creative time penning remarkable lines and rhymes that bespeak his clever mind and attention to messages, content and themes. His delivery is fluid and surgically precise. His sonic character is impressive and masculine without using cheesy machismo, none of the usual, run-of-the-mill old arrogance which has been boring rap fans for the last twenty years. Tay's rap is direct, arresting, violent in tone and peaceful in effect, and blindingly intelligent.

These standout attributes come from his two decades of writing and performing rap.

"All my life I was involved with music," writes Tay. "It's always been my passion. It's what I love to do."

In addition to 'Pac, Scarface, and KRS-1, he also names as important musical influences the likes of Eminem, DMX, Slaughterhouse, Jay-Z, Nas, Fabolous, E-40, Rakim, Ludacris, and T.I. Elements of many of these artists can be found in this one single from Jay Tay, who learns from the greats.

When asked about the meaning "Like E.T." might have in store for fans and newcomers alike, Tay replies, "[The song is about being] very ambitious. It's for the go-gettas in life. It's for anyone trying to conquer their goals."

"Like E.T." by Jay Tay is available online worldwide beginning spring 2013.

The single "Like E.T." is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
