NASHVILLE, TN (Broken Bow Records) - Broken Bow Records VP of A&R/Publishing LARRY SHELL was overwhelmed to learn that he made the final list of nominees for the 15th Annual International Bluegrass Music Awards in the Song of the Year category with a song he co-penned with Wayne Taylor and Kim Williams - 'Seven Sundays In a Row'. The IBMA show, hosted by bluegrass veterans Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski, is scheduled to take place on October 7th, at the Kentucky Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
'I am honored to be nominated for Song of the Year by the IBMA,' says Larry Shell. 'Bluegrass music allows a writer to express real feelings and honest thought without restriction.'

The final nominees for the IBMA Song of the Year category include: 'Seven Sundays In A Row', Blue Highway (artists), Larry Shell, Wayne Taylor & Kim Williams (writers) 'That Bluegrass Music', The Gibson Brothers (artists), Leigh Gibson, Eric Gibson & Mike Barber (writers) 'I've Endured', Tim O'Brien (artist), David Arthur & Ola Belle Reed (writers) 'You Ain't Lived', Larry Sparks (artist), Marshal Warwick (writer) 'Kentucky Borderline', Rhonda Vincent (artist), Rhonda Vincent & Terry Herd (writers)

Artists receiving the most nominations include The Del McCoury Band, Alison Krauss + Union Station and Blue Highway. Blue Highway garnered seven nominations including Vocal Group, Instrumental Group, Album for Wondrous Love, Song of the Year for 'Seven Sundays in a Row' (writers Larry Shell, Wayne Taylor and Kim Williams), Gospel Recorded Performance for Wondrous Love and Instrumental Album for Rob Ickes' project Big Time also featuring Blue Highway.

The recipients of the 2004 International Bluegrass Music Awards will be broadcast by radio around the world to more than 300 U.S. markets and 14 foreign networks. The awards are voted on by the professional membership of the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), which serves as the trade association for the bluegrass music industry.
