Linda Perry & Dolly Parton Nominated For Golden Globe Award For Dumplin' (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Linda Perry and Dolly Parton, have been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "Girl in the Movies," Dumplin' in the 'Best Original Song - Motion Picture' category. In addition to producing the Netflix film Dumplin' (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), Perry penned the music and lyrics for "Girl in the Movies" with Parton.

The album features We Are Hear artists (a 360 artist empowerment record label / publishing / management company co-founded by multi-platinum producers Linda Perry and Kerry Brown) Dorothy, who performs with Macy Gray on the track "Two Doors Down" and Willa Amai, We Are Hear's 14 year old artist who surprised the critics with her standout version of "Here You Come Again" also featured in the film's official trailer. Dumplin' debuts on Netflix this Friday, December 7th and will also be released in select theaters that day. Stream or download Dumplin' here.

"Perhaps the most striking part about this ballad is Parton's interaction with her singing partner, 14-year-old singer Willa Amai. Amai opens the song, her voice bold and yearning and struck with the slightest tremble. Then Parton enters, effortless yet dazzling, and it's a passing of the torch." - Refinery29

" ...the ballad reimagining of "Here You Come Again" with 14-year-old Willa Amai feels truly exceptional. With only a few singles to her name, the teenage newcomer is given the honor of opening the song, and she doesn't disappoint. It's one of the few moments that an accompanying voice is able to keep up with Parton's." - Esquire

Philanthropist, community leader & undeniable talent in her own right, Linda Perry and We Are Hear partner Kerry Brown recently spearheaded and co-produced the brilliantly successful One Love Malibu music & food fundraiser event. Hosted by Linda Perry and featuring performances by acts such as Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morissette, Dorothy, Natasha Bedingfield, Pete Molinari, Angel Haze, Rita Ora & Brandi Carlile, it raised over $1 million for the Malibu Foundation to support programs in regions impacted by the Woolsey Fire, including Agoura Hills, Oak Park, Thousand Oaks, West Hills, Calabasas, Malibu and other areas. An array of artists, actors, comedians, food/drink vendors, gear companies, and fans came together to support a community in need with incredible achievement. The event had brilliant coverage with Hollywood Reporter, Forbes, Yahoo, ABC 7,ET! and many more.
