Natalie Merchant To Receive John Lennon Real Love Award, Lead Tribute Concert At Symphony Space In NYC

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Natalie Merchant, who is currently on a sold-out tour of the US Northeast and will perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Thursday, will receive the 2019 John Lennon Real Love Award and will lead a multi-artist tribute concert of her favorite John Lennon and Beatles tunes at Symphony Space in New York City on Friday, December 6. Tickets go on sale this Tuesday, August 6, at 1pm ET. The award is given in recognition of Merchant's artistic achievements and lifelong commitment to social activism and charitable causes.

Presented by Theatre Within, in association with Music Without Borders, this the 39th Annual John Lennon Tribute charity concert. A New York City tradition since 1981, the Tribute joyously celebrates John Lennon's life, music and timeless message of peace and love. Proceeds will benefit Theatre Within's ongoing free workshops - in songwriting, art, meditation and more - at Gilda's Club NYC for children and adults impacted by cancer.
