Rhiannon Giddens, Yola, Chris Eldridge Take Part In Americana Honors & Awards Ceremony
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Kudos to Rhiannon Giddens, Yola, and Punch Brothers guitarist Chris "Critter" Eldridge on a wonderful night of music and words at the Americana Honors & Awards ceremony at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last night, streamed live via NPR Music.

Giddens received the inaugural Legacy of Americana Award from the Americana Music Association and the National Museum of African American Music; made a beautiful speech honoring posthumous recipient Frank Johnson; and gave a haunting performance of "Wayfaring Stranger" with Francesco Turrisi, a song they perform together on their new album, there is no Other. Yola was introduced by Dan Auerbach, who produced her debut album, Walk Through Fire, then brought the house down singing "Faraway Look" from the Easy Eye Sound album. And Eldridge took home the award for Instrumentalist of the Year. Congratulations all around.

On November 23, tune in to ACL Presents: The Americana 18th Annual Honors, a special episode of Austin City Limits featuring performance highlights from the evening, broadcast on PBS stations across the United States.
