Tivoli Rock Music Fridays
Tivoli has unveiled this year's Friday Rock program in April 2019, and as usual, the concert series features a large number of Danish artists seasoned with a small handful of international stars.
Today's biggest reveal is arguably Lauryn Hill, who last year could celebrate the 20th anniversary of the masterpiece 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill', which is still the only album in the American rapper's discography to this day. On the occasion of the anniversary, Hill has been on an extensive tour, which in late 2018 brought her to Copenhagen, and for August there is a new visit.
Friday rock extends for a total of 24 Fridays, and the program's other international features include Jason Derulo, Tom Jones and then Thomas Dybdahl, performing the same night as When Saints Go Machine - here both artists will be accompanied by Tivoli Copenhagen Phil.
Of course, there are concerts from a large number of Denmark's biggest names, and among others Mø, Suspekt, Medina, DAD, The Minds of 99 and Gnags are ready to enter the stage on their own, while the habit is also believed to be evenings with several artists on the program. For example, The Crazy Pose and TopGunn are on the same night, while Infernal and Out of Control have also been put together.
The Minds of 99 opens this year's Friday Rock on April 12, while Citybois and Hugo Helmig have the honor of closing down the concert line on September 20.
Last week, Tivoli also announced the program for Little Friday, which offers concerts with young Danish artists for 22 consecutive Thursdays.
Next year 2020 they plan to arrange again Rock Fridays or RockFredage in Danish!
