Rockett
Queen is proud to announce that the band has signed an exclusive deal with Amped, the new home to Metallica, Lenny Kravitz, Billy Idol,
Steel Panther and
Big & Rich to name a few. As part of our the new deal, the band will release Goodnight California in late April on CD, Vinyl and
Digital formats worldwide. https://www.ampeddistribution.com.
Rockett
Queen have paid their fair share of dues since bursting onto the scene in '03 and earning the title "Best Unsigned Band in America" by MTV. The recent cancelation of the band's major tour of North
America in support of
Creed singer
Scott Stapp due to his well documented health issues would disrupt the progress of most bands striving to reach new plateaus in the music industry, but not Rockett Queen. The band utilized the suddenly available block of time to complete their new record with Songwriter/Producer Zac Maloy(Halestorm, Carrie Underwood, Saliva,
Blake Shelton, Orianthi, Adam Lambert, Our Lady Peace, Shinedown, Michelle Branch, Cavo and
Black Stone Cherry among others). The record, titled Light The Fuse, is slated for release in mid to late 2015. The first track, "Time Bomb", was co-written by Walter Lee, Zac Maloy and Reid Henry (My Darkest Days). "Light The Fuse" was mixed and mastered by Derek Taylor and will feature notable guest appearances by Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean) and Neil Tiemann (Shinedown,
David Cook).
"To say we were disappointed that the
Scott Stapp "Proof of Live" Tour was canceled is an understatement, said Singer/Guitarist Walter Lee." "The tour would have taken the band to multiple major markets from the South, the West Coast, the Midwest and back again and we had big plans to hold a press event on the roof of the Hyatt on the Sunset Strip." "In all honesty, it would have been great to see our fans, not to mention it would have been very interesting to witness the potential drama behind the scenes as the tour proceeded".
Rockett
Queen also found the time to repackage their 2011 EP, Goodnight California with new artwork and the addition of three new tracks, "Hey God", "Hard to Love (acoustic)" and "
Attitude" for release around the globe in April of 2015 via their new deal with Amped (Metallica, Lenny Kravitz, Billy Idol, Steel Panther) https://www.ampeddistribution.com. The band is currently editing two new videos and two new lyric videos for the tracks, "I Hate You" (performance video) and "
Since You've Been Gone" (concept video).
Storming out of East Texas, Rockett
Queen has been a force to be reckoned with since bursting onto the scene. Fronted by charismatic, explosive lead vocalist/guitarist Walter Lee, driven by the untamed Jay Scars on lead guitar, Chaz Graves on bass and
Seven on drums, Rockett
Queen has cultivated immense recognition and rave reviews.
"The band formed with one real objective in mind and that was to put together an honest rock band with no gimmicks," Lee explains. "Just a four-on-the-floor, leave-nothing-left-on-the-stage rock 'n' roll band. We all came together out of the desire to do something genuine and not watered down into some small sub-genre of music that people feel the need to do these days. We felt people were really looking for an honest rock band."
Rockett
Queen quickly earned the title "Best Unsigned Band in America" by winning a contest that led a spot on the "John Tucker Must Die" soundtrack, as well as being featured in MTV's hit show "Newport Harbor," all while the band was still in its infancy.
The band's debut album, Too Rock for Radio, garnered critical praise at home and abroad, where Too Rock for
Radio saw a release through Japan's
Little Rock Records and spreads in the country's biggest magazines. Having built a devoted following, Rockett
Queen took its explosive rock 'n' roll show on the road, covering much of the southern United States, both headlining, opening for national acts and even appearing on multiple stops of the Vans Warped Tour.
Rockett
Queen quickly raced back into the studio to record a sophomore EP, Kiss and Tell. The EP spawned the single "Since You've Been Gone," which gained notoriety and received heavy airplay on
Texas Top 40 radio station The Breeze.
Soon after Kiss and Tell, the group returned to the studio to begin work on another EP, Goodnight California. Originally released in 2011, Goodnight California is receiving a 2015 re-release, including three new tracks, to tide fans over until the completion of Rockett Queen's sophomore album later this year.
