New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Merry
Ellen Kirk releases new single "Ever After" off her upcoming album We Are The
Dreamers out October 23. The emotional elasticity Merry
Ellen Kirk carries in her music connects with audiences on a primal level with perceptions and associations both tangible and dream-like.
From the hushed pressed tones of the piano to the tranquil echoey vocals that Kirk bellows in the chorus, "Ever After" leaps outside the boundaries of summer love. Kirk says, "something that was beautiful in the beginning slowly becomes something that you can't be a part of anymore." The single offers the idea of moving forward in life and relationships while not looking back and fixing decisions from the past. As the song reigns in on the season drawing to a close and summer love beginning to fade, we ask ourselves "where did we go wrong?"
About Merry
Ellen Kirk
Having spent her early years in Mongolia—her parents were missionaries—Merry
Ellen Kirk developed a diverse awareness of the world, and of what music can be when experienced through a different cultural lens. As a child, she began making up little ditties and developed an inescapable desire to create music; after a time, when her family returned home and settled down in Nashville, she came to realize that writing and performing music would have to be a large part of her future. Described by Kirk as sitting "somewhere between
Christina Perri & Ingrid Michaelson," her music has slowly evolved into her own full of bright emotional releases to more dark and gritty dream-like ballads.

Praise for Merry
Ellen Kirk
4 out of 5 Stars "It has the feel of a love song from the 80s which manages to wear age-old sentiments on its sleeves whilst still sounding original." -Songwriting Magazine
"...She writes sensitive yet evocative songs...[with] a touch of Imogen Heap's delivery at times, while the music betrays a
Sarah McLachlan influence."—The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music
"Her ethereal tunes beckon to you through melodic voice and pretty piano trills....the sounds of her different worlds collide to soothe your soul and give flight to your fancy."—Kaitlyn Crocker - EVOLve Blog
"If we knew how to put our finger on exactly what made Merry
Ellen Kirk as enchanting as she is, we would. One of the most intriguing singers we have heard in a while, Kirk takes what many of us forgot as a child and brings it to life." —Brite Revolution
