The Ready Set
Jordan Witzigreuter was only 20 years old when nearly overnight, the young Indiana-born musician—who had spent the better part of his teens writing an arsenal of illegally catchy, electro-pop songs—was plucked from near obscurity and thrust into the spotlight. "I started playing shows to a couple people in someone's basement," Witzigreuter remembers. "Then, a year and a half later, I was playing radio festivals with
Maroon 5 to 10,000 people." Five years have passed since the release of TRS's debut album, I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming, which hit No. 3 on Billboard's Heatseakers chart, thanks to the platinum-selling success of the LP's first single, "Love Like Woe. In 2011 TRS released their sophomore album Feel Good Now and the hit song "Young Forever." Jordan has since been writing and even penned a song to
Taylor Swift "For The Better" that went viral with over 500,000 views. The band has toured with The Wanted, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cher Loyd, Breathe Carolina, We The Kings, Allstar Weekend, Boys Like Girls, and more.
The Bad & The Better Press Raves:
"Witzigreuter's knack for earworm hooks is still at the forefront of the group's sound, carrying song's like the disco-infused "Freakin' Me Out" and the dreamy indie pop of "Are We Happy Now?" to new heights as some of the best in his entire catalog." - Alternative Press
"The Bad & The Better is more than just a new album. It's a collection of songs positively illustrating the frustrations and thought process of a person overcoming fears and anxieties. It's a dedication to those who stuck with The
Ready Set while Witzigreuter waited to see where things stood with his label. It's the realization that life goes on and things get better. It's a declaration of hope, but most importantly it's the beginning of a restoration period in Witzigreuter's career." - Substream
"The Bad & The Better is a fusion of bubblegum pop, polished synths, and reverb drenched tracks brimming with hype and a contagious energy." Outburn
"Jordan Witzigreuter is still a highly skilled musical magpie, collecting all kinds of shiny things and whipping them into a modern bubblegum near-classic." - All Music
"The album is pretty solid for a fun summer by the pool." - Alter The Press
"The album sounds like happiness and will soon wrap itself into all your favorite memories." - Punk Nation
"Rather than simply walking the line between pop, dance, and electronic, Witzigreuter skips along it, taking us along for the trip while we bob our heads and sing along." -Amplified Magazine
