New York, NY (Top40 Charts) C4 Trío, a Venezuelan group that highlights the well-known national instrument with productions open to different genres of global music, and legendary Ska band Desorden Público reached a new achievement with a Grammy nomination in 2018 in the category of Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album for their album Pa'Fuera.

The album was presented in Venezuela last December and contains 12 songs that fuse classical genres that have made both groups known with rhythms such as oriental joropo, contradanza, gaita de tambora and Caribbean merengue, among others.

The record was produced by Cuman-native cuatro player and composer Jorge Glem and the leader/founder of Desorden Público Horacio Blanco, with the recording, mixing, and mastering support of Vladmir Quintero, Germán Landaeta and Jean Sánchez, winners of the Latin Grammy in 2014 for Sound Engineering and another for the production of C4 Trío: De Repente.

For Jorge Glem, currently residing in New York, one of the things that is most thrilling to him is having won a nomination with Venezuelan music. "We interpret the songs of Desorden that the public have listened to for more than thirty years; they are taken and transformed with rhythms from all over the country, so those who listen to them or have it in their hands anywhere in the word will find themselves with our rhythms, which represent a contribution of the diffusion and knowledge of what is ours. Additionally, doing this with an incredible band that we have admired since childhood, fills us with a lot of pride."

On the other hand, from Mexico, Horacio Blanco, visibly emotional commented: "I received a message from Héctor Molina on Tuesday morning where he gave us the news. I was half asleep and did not believe it; later, indeed the news was a reality." In addition to be thankful for this surprise, Blanco said it was important to underline "that this record has not indulged in any sponsorships, in any record company promoters or international management agency that has driven this work-- this album was launched to the nomination with the most basic resources by the Grammy Academy.

This record began to take shape in 2014, when they came together to present C4 Desorden a 2, an unprecedented concert where their sounds, hits, instruments and unmistakable rhythms made their audience ecstatic.

"I think this is a very risky album, it's an album where the experimentation reached a hybrid level that I had never heard before. The contribution of C4 Trío is infinitely valuable and the result is there... a lot of good vibes. That album was made with care, love and respect that reaches what it wants to achieve," Horacio Blanco said.

The 10th anniversary celebration of the emblematic ensemble of cuatros and the thirtieth of the most recognized ska band in the country and Latinoamerica were the source that gave form to this production whose release had been postponed due to the "migrations and internal transformations" that both groups have been experiencing since the recording, as Héctor Molina from C4 Trío points out: this is what gave impulse to the international launch of this powerful work.

Pa'Fuera competes in the same category, with the most recent albums of Los Amigos Invisibles, El Paradise; Ayo by Bomba Estéreo; Salvavidas de hielo by Jorge Drexler, and Residente by Residente.
