Universal Music Publishing Group Songwriters Receive Multiple Brit Award Nominations

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The nominees for the BRIT Awards 2015 were announced this week, and several Universal Music Publishing Group songwriters received nominations: Jessie Ware, Paloma Faith and Lily Allen got nods in the Best Female category, while Chvrches were nominated for British Breakthrough Act and Coldplay were nominated in the Best Group category.

Various UMPG songwriters are also involved in Best Album nominations for Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, including Jimmy Napes, Will Phillips, Gary Lightbody and Wretch 32.
Our songwriters are also involved in four nominations for Best British Single: Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne's 'Rather Be', Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me', Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk' and Sigma's 'Nobody To Love'.
