IRVINE, CA.( The Four Seasons Youth Orchestra) - Orange County's premier classical music group, The Four Seasons Youth Orchestra, announced its spring concert at the Irvine Barclay Theatre on April 23, 2006 at 4:00pm. Barclay Theatre is located at 4242 Campus Dr., Irvine, CA.

Under the direction of Dr. Roger Hickman of Cal State Long Beach, this year's performance features 5 young talented performers, 4 of which are piano soloists, and the orchestra's own 250 instrumentalists. The teen pianists are all first prize winners of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) 2005 Concerto Competition. They include:
Division I Weston Mizumoto Age 11
Division II Michael Repper Age 14
Division III Yiju Lai Age 17
Special Prize Hugo Chang Age 15

The concert will also premier the first ever performance of The Great Wall composed by 16 year old and young prodigist Elbert Liu. Elbert is a Four Seasons Youth Orchestra alumnus.

"I am constantly amazed even after so many years at the helm of the orchestra," said Dr. Roger Hickman, director of the Four Seasons Youth Orchestra. "It's a tremendous joy to work with these marvelous young talents and their families."

The Orchestra organizes several concerts each year, which highlights many of Orange County's young musicians from 6 to 25 years of age. In addition to performing across the Southland, they have graced stages across the U.S and the world. In recent years, these young musicians have left their memorable music mark in China, Southern France, Italy, New York, & Sydney Australia. The orchestra is currently preparing for its upcoming tour of Eastern Europe in 2007.
Concert tickets for the Barclay Theatre performance are now on sale at the box office or contact (714) 374-3766
