The appointment of renowned conductor Gérard Korsten to lead the InterHarmony Festival Orchestra in Session II adds a special dimension to the orchestral program at the InterHarmony® International
Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Piedmont, Italy. As a violinist himself who held principal positions in top orchestras, it creates the most rare opportunity for students to work under tutelage of musician who understands every little detail of orchestral playing at the highest level. This summer Maestro Korsten will conduct Dvorak's "Cello Concerto" with solo cellist Misha Quint, Brahm's enigmatic "Hungarian Dances", and Brahm's "Nanie".

Sulzbach-Rosenberg is just less than an hour drive from the famous Wagner home to the Bayreuther Festpiele. This distance will become much shorter as mezzo-soprano Christa Mayer, the best of the Bayreuth, joins InterHarmony's Outstanding Guest Artist Series.

Music Festival, where students in the Vocal program will be invited to perform. Students will be given a chance to hear Christa Mayer perform in concert with the festival
