Columbus, Ohio (Clear Note Publications) - Clear Note Publications has released Felicidade, the new CD by renowned American classical guitarist Stephen Robinson. The wide-ranging music on Felicidade exhibits a distinct international flavor through the music of Phillip Houghton (Australia), Roland Dyens (France), Alfonso Montes (Venezuela), Antonio Carlos Jobim (Brazil), as well as a Celtic-inflected piece by John Doan, and music of American composers.

Among the disc's 12 cuts is the popular Homage, a trilogy with movements dedicated to John Dowland, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Martin Luther King by celebrated American composer Frederic Hand. The disc also includes the premiere recording of Inspiraciones by Manuel DeMurga, which is dedicated to Robinson.

Throughout the new recording, Robinson lives up to his reputation for "effortless virtuosity, intelligence, and good taste" (New York Times) - "Stephen is a guitarist who invariably reminds me of why I fell in love with the guitar many years ago; to put it simply, he plays beautiful music, and he plays it beautifully." (Richard Long GFA Soundboard Magazine). New York-born Robinson studied with Bruce Holzman at Florida State University, and also worked with Andres Segovia, who called him "A magnificent guitarist." Robinson pursued graduate studies at Yale University and earned his Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University. Robinson has been a faculty member at Stetson University in Deland, Florida since 1983 and is both founder and director of Stetson's guitar program. In addition to releasing a score of CDs, Robinson is an active performer who has concertized internationally and will perform throughout Florida this concert season. https://www.clearnote.net. [Clear Note Publications], now based in Columbus, Ohio, has released numerous editions of concert pieces, music for guitar ensemble, and etudes for solo guitar by historical masters and contemporary composers. Clear Note also has a growing catalog of CDs by such respected artists as Adam Holzman, Stephen Aron, Apostolos Pareskevas, James Piokowski, Rex Willis, Stephen Robinson, Karl Wolff, and others.
