Andrea Bocelli teams with Olympic and World figure skating champions for a mesmerizing afternoon of entertainment,
Andrea Bocelli's "Tribute on Ice," Presented by McCormick.
This unique program features Mr. Bocelli singing some of his best-known classical hits as well as wonderful new songs from his latest album, "Andrea", released this fall on Universal Classics. Included will be: "Sogno," "Nessun Dorma," "Melodrama," "Sin Tu Amor," "Time To Say Goodbye," and "Dell'Amore Non Si Sa."
Interpreting Mr. Bocelli's music on-ice will be four of the greatest North American male skaters of the past twenty years, including 1988 Olympic Champion Brian Boitano; two-time Olympic Silver Medalist Brian Orser; six-time U.S. Champion Todd Eldredge; and three-time U.S. Champion Michael Weiss.
These powerful performers will be joined by elegant two-time Olympic Champion Ekaterina Gordeeva; popular 1995 U.S. Champion Nicole Bobek; the lyrical Caryn Kadavy, a two-time U.S. Pro-Am Champion; dynamic World Champion and ten-time Canadian Champion Shae-Lynn Bourne; and the charismatic five-time Italian Champion Silvia Fontana.
The masters of ice romance, two-time U.S. dance champions Renee Roca & Gorsha Sur, will deliver two special performances.
Twelve-year old Holly Stell, a spokesperson for https://www.KidsWithACause.org, a non-profit organization that emphasizes the importance and value of children helping children, joins Mr. Bocelli on vocals for "Go Where Love Goes." A soprano from Northern California, Miss Stell has been studying opera since age nine.
Filmed on location in Bridgeport, CT at the Arena at Harbor Yard at a live show that sold out in just one day, the event was produced by Disson Skating (https://www.dissonskating.com). This will be the fourth consecutive year that Disson Skating has produced a tribute show combining the world of figure skating with the legacy of famous entertainers; previous tributes to Aretha Franklin, the late Ray Charles and Burt Bacharach were artistic and athletic standouts.
