Winner of the 2018 Young Concert Artists International Auditions is pianist Maxim Lando. Lando's most recent accolade is the prestigious Gilmore Young Artist Award for 2020. In addition to his New York and Washington, DC recital debuts on the Young Concert Artists Series this season, he will perform the Beethoven Triple Concerto with violinist Daniel Hope, cellist Lynn Harrell, and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.

Program:
Kapustin: Concert Etude, Op. 40 no. 3, "Toccatina"

Marino joined the Young Concert Artists Board of Directors in 1993 and served as Chairman of the Board from 2003-2012. During that time, he endowed the annual Peter Marino Concert. Marino also established a prestigious Young Concert Artists Festival in Tokyo, Japan, which for almost a decade was held each spring at Nexus Hall in the Chanel Ginza flagship he designed. Marino was honored for 25 years of support for the organization at the Young Concert Artists 58th Anniversary Gala at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, last May, 2018.

Throughout his career, Peter Marino has proven an avid philanthropist and art collector. Marino plans to open an art foundation in Southampton, New York, restoring the former Rogers Memorial Library to its historic architectural status in the process. The Peter Marino Art Foundation will feature rotating shows from guest artists and collaborators as well as a permanent public exhibition of artworks from Marino's collection
