Nashville, TN - Hit songwriters Liz Hengber and Thom McHugh have signed with Blacktop
Music Group, Inc. for exclusive publishing, it was announced today by company vice-president and general manager Mike Sebastian. Between them, Hengber and McHugh have an impressive array of hit titles cut by some of country's biggest selling and most successful artists.
Hengber has penned four No 1 hits for Reba McEntire, including 'For My Broken Heart,' 'And Still,' 'It's Your Call' and 'Forever Love.' She also wrote the No 1 songs 'Unconditional' by Clay Davidson and 'The Bride' by Trick Pony.
'I have had the pleasure of working with Liz Hengber off and on over the last 15 years and she continues to amaze me with her songs,'
Sebastian said. 'Liz is an incredibly talented and professional hit writer who doesn't just write songs, she writes copyrights that stand the test of time.'
Likewise McHugh comes to Blacktop with his own impressive track record. Some of his songwriting credits include: 'It Won't Be Over You' by Steve Wariner; 'This Is Me' by Randy Travis; 'You Can't Lose Me' by Faith Hill; 'Life Goes On' by
Little Texas; 'Holdin' Heaven' by Tracy Byrd; 'More' by
Trace Adkins and 'Don't Happen Twice' by Kenny Chesney.
