Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Codie Prevost Official Website) - Singer/songwriter Codie Prevost has had a busy and successful 2007 so far. This past June he spent time in Nashville writing new songs and also started work on his second CD. While down south Prevost performed as past of the New Country Star Fan Club Party and the Mark Trail Music Showcase. 'I really enjoyed getting a chance to perform down in Nashville again. It gave me the opportunity to network with industry people as well as to make and meet new fans' says Prevost.
For the 2007 Craven Country Music Jamboree Prevost was asked to be a music reporter for the festival by the Northeast Chronicle. 'I was very excited about playing reporter for the weekend. It was a good experience for me to see things from the other side. I interviewed Aaron Lines, The Road Hammers, Adam Gregory and The Kentucky Headhunters. I learnt a lot from talking with them and hope someday to have the same success in my career as they have had in theirs'.
For the past few years Prevost has been searching for the right band members to join him in pursuing his dreams and feels he recently has found just the right mix. 'All our personalities are very similar so we get along really well as a band. I feel very fortunate to have been able to find experienced musicians to work with and to learn from' says Prevost. He also adds 'It's a lot different being on the road with a band than performing solo because every night it's like having your friends on stage with you and it brings a lot of energy to the show'. The band includes Charles Dumont (Emm Gryner) on drums, Allison Tymiak (Melanie Laine) on Fiddle, Al Leblanc (Jay Semko) on Bass and Brent Taylor (Men without Shame) on Guitar. 'Charles and Al had worked together on various projects for many years and are very excited to be performing together once again. Allison has been working with me for the past few years and I feel very fortunate in having her as part of the band. Brent was the last musician we found and I'm glad to say it was worth the wait. Originally from Nipawin Brent brings valuable road experience to the band and since he's from the North East has a lot of the same background as I do' says Prevost.

Recently back from Vancouver Island Prevost performed one of the biggest shows of his career at the Vancouver Island Exhibition in Nanaimo with Damian Marshall. This show has also lead to future shows out west for Prevost. Prevost says 'I'm very fortunate to have had all these opportunities so far in my career. If you would have told me when I started a few years back that all these things would be falling into place for me I wouldn't have believed you'.

Another feather in Prevost's cap is the fact that he was chosen as one of the top songwriter's in Canada and will take part in the Canadian Country Music Associations Songwriter's Cafe in Regina this fall. Other writer's include Patricia Conroy, Gord Bamford and Charlie Major. Also that weekend Prevost will be showcasing his new band at McNally Tavern. In the next few weeks CBC will be featuring Prevost on 'Unsung 3' which will air on CBC TV prior to the CCMA's.

Prevost says 'I'm pretty excited about the upcoming months with all the shows and getting ready to release my new single and album in early 2008'.
