New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Actor
Carlos Guerrero debuted last Friday on the Telemundo hit TV series Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio as Pete Salgado, Jenni Rivera's manager, in the same year he will be showcased on the big screen in four feature films working with some of Hollywood legends.
Guerrero's most recent work is on American Films and TV series', but Telemundo offered him this project, that upon accepting, was a great challenge for him.
Carlos is very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this great production and for the chance to work on 25 episodes alongside Television icons such as Gabriel Porras, Rosalinda RodrÃguez, and
Angelica Celaya. This is the second time Celaya and Guerrero share screen time, with their first encounter being on the TV show "Constantine". Aside from the great demands of portraying Pete Salgado, he also had little time to make big changes to his look.
Carlos shaved his head, grew his mustache and goatee, and gained significant weight for this role. This is nothing new for Guerrero who customarily changes his appearance for the diverse characters he plays. In 2009 he subjected himself through an eight month physical transformation for his role on the feature film "
Promises" that besides starring in, he also wrote and produced.
2017 is a great year for
Carlos giving him a good reason to celebrate this Labor Day. In May "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" was released in theatres where he worked on scenes with stars Alicia Silverstone and Tom Everett Scott. In July, immediately after completing his filming on Mariposa de Barrio, he started on another physical transformation for his role on the comedic feature film "Chateau Vato" sharing scenes with comedian Paul RodrÃguez. In October, "Vengeance: A Love Story" will have its theatrical release where he goes head to head with
Charlene Tilton in this Nicolas Cage and Don Johnson production. And if that's not enough,
Carlos will end the year with a bang by showcasing his talent on the big screen opposite Hollywood legend Donald Sutherland in "The Leisure Seeker".
Carlos Guerrero was born in Miami, FL and is the son of famous Cuban poet and actor
