Conway Twitty United (prod.) is casting national touring, casino, and regional productions of It's Only Make Believe, a musical in two acts about the life of Conway Twitty, whose death in 1993 left a void in the world of country music. A 'musical scrapbook of memories' told through the eyes of his children, it follows his beginnings to rock and roll idol to country legend. The production features over 36 Conway Twitty songs. Randy Johnson, writer-director. Tours and performances run 2008-2010.

Production dates now being booked for 2008 - 2010, Rehearsals start in July with opening in August / September. Now booking National Tours, Casino Dates and Regional productions. Also casting understudies and stand-bys. Understudies and Standby's will have other production responsibilities. Casting multiple productions.
NOTICE - THERE WILL BE TELEVISION CAMERAS AND MEDIA PRESENT AT AUDTIONS.
All auditions (including waiting areas, arrivals, departures, pre and post audition) will be video taped and/or filmed. Those auditioning may also be interviewed pre and post audition for media and broadcast purposes. Please be prepared to sign a release granting Conway Twitty United, its affiliates, partners and assigns use of video taped / filmed material at its sole discretion at no charge, fee or other compensation in perpetuity
CASTING:
1. Conway Twitty - Country Music Legend. The show depicts Conway from his years as a rock and roll idol (late 1950's) to the Country Music years.
2. Joni Twitty - Daughter of Conway Twitty. Age portrayed is in the 25-35 year range. Strong acting and singing ability required.
3. Kathy Twitty - Daughter of Conway Twitty. Age portrayed is in the 25-35 year range. Strong acting. performance and singing ability required.
4. Michael Twitty - Son of Conway Twitty. Teen Idol material. Strong singing and performance ability required. Must play a musical instrument (preferably bass or guitar - strong musical skills)
5. Loretta Lynn - Country Music Legend - Must also play an instrument and be able to be a band member for the show - strong musical skills.
Will also perform the role of;
6. Mickey Twitty - Wife of Conway Twitty and Mother of Joni and Kathy Twitty.
Breakdown - Please have one song of your choice - plus:
Conway Twitty - please prepare 3 Conway Twitty songs (accompanist provided / CD Playback optional) One song, from Conway Twitty's rock and roll catalog. Two Conway Twitty songs, from his Country Music catalog. (one ballad and one up tempo). It is advisable to be prepared to sing one of the Conway - Loretta duets if invited to callbacks. (Hey good looking or Louisiana Woman - Mississippi Man)
Loretta Lynn / Mickey Twitty - Please prepare 2 songs one up-tempo and one ballad. ). It is advisable to be prepared to sing one of the Conway - Loretta duets if invited to callbacks.

All auditioning please bring an 8x10 photo and resume with current contact information. All should be prepared for a movement audition in addition to a vocal audition. Please wear appropriate attire at all times.
