Colt Ford and the Pete Scobell Band have joined forces on a special version of "Answer To No One" to celebrate former
Texas Governor Rick Perry's presidential campaign announcement made on Thursday, June 4. Originally released on Ford's No. 1 album Declaration of Independence, "Answer To No One" is an anthem for hard-working Americans who thrive on challenges and never settle for mediocrity. The new collaboration from Ford and Scobell, "Answer To No One 2016 Campaign Version," will be available for download on iTunes soon.
"I first met Pete while working with our mutual friend, US Navy Seal (Ret.) Marcus Luttrell, and The Lone
Survivor Foundation on a project with another song of mine, 'Workin' On,'" said Ford. "He asked if I thought it was a good idea to rework "Answer To No One" for Governor Perry and his campaign and I immediately agreed."
Added Scobell, "Colt and I share many of the same values and a deep love for our country, so teaming up with him to record a special version of this song in support of Governor Perry's campaign seemed like a no-brainer. It's a great way to blend our mutual passions for music and for patriotism and share that with our fans and fellow Americans."
