New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Country music legend Philip Claypool will be releasing a new single along with a video next month titled "Three More Beers". The song is featured on his latest critically acclaimed CD "Come On Back Home", which has already garnered two singles in the Top 40's on Nashville's Music Row Chart. Philip shot the video on April 25th with director Ray Boone at Nashville watering hole "Blue Bar and Rack Room". The song will be impacting for adds to radio May 18th, via CDX and Play MPE.
Says Philip, " An acquaintance of mine coined the phrase as he described a blind date he'd been set up on. I fell out laughing and carried that title phrase around forever, sometimes making up a funny song on the cuff at parties and such. I finally had a version but when I showed it to Jeff Silbar, many of the ladies mentioned in the song were no longer "in Vogue". So again, over lots of laughter and painstaking lyrical genius, the masterpiece is finally available for public consumption. It is a great one on the dance floor."
Philip Claypool describes himself as a Southern-singer-songwriter. Growing up in Memphis, TN, he was raised with a love of music and the outdoors. He exhibits many musical influences ranging from gospel to rock and country but the defining quality of his music is his emotional and passionate performances. His latest full album release "Come On Back Home" reveals the honest, transparent and passionate Philip Claypool they've come to know and love.
Philip is currently touring the U.S. in support of the album and upcoming single release.
Here's what the press has raved about Philip Claypool's "Come On Back Home":
"With all of these styles coming together, Claypool touches on all the aspects that make him a solid songwriter and artist and does it in such a way that the songs pull off of one another to give this album a coherent feel from start to finish. However, regardless of the style of the particular song it is Claypool's ability to weave together crafty and compelling lyrics that make him stand out as he draws you in with vocals that are filled with raw emotion." - One Stop Country
"We now have yet another great example of how modern country should actually sound like. Claypool's roots are in Memphis, TN, has grown up under the influences of gospel, rock and country but the qualitative standard of his work is undoubtedly the passionate but also emotional key that he knows so nice to spend." - Keys & Chords
"Produced by Michael Lloyd, a man who has more than one hundred Gold and Platinum records to his name, and written largely by Philip himself (as well as regular co-writer Jeff Silbar), the full fourteen tracks were recorded in two days, making this a very organic and authentic record. The Memphis native intended this album to be about revealing his real self, getting to the core of who he is, while shunning the mold of the typical country artist which, especially these days, is polished to become far too perfect." - For The Country Record
