Nashville, TN. (Top40-Charts/ Country Thunder Records) - Country Thunder Records, Odesssa, TX, the music industry's newest indie label, will mark its territory on the country music map this April with the release of its debut project from recording artist Jamie Lee Thurston.

BIG on personality and a BIG talent, Jamie Lee Thurston is the definition of artist. A 100-proof, authentic and talented vocalist, guitar player and songwriter, he fills the gap between Hank Jr. and Molly Hatchet. With a baritone voice that is deep and rich, he sings with heart and soul. He's a powerhouse who delivers a tender ballad with as much heart and conviction as a rockin' country tune.

A member of the Graham Artist Management roster (Trick Pony, Heartland, Rio Grande & Trini Triggs), Jamie Lee is a music veteran who grew up performing on stages, at fairs and festivals, and in bars across the Northeast and Canada. He was named Entertainer of The Year by the Vermont Country Music Association, was a finalist in the True Value/Coca Cola Country Showdown and the Nashville Entertainment Association's Country Challenge. He appeared on Country Today (The Nashville Network) and the Charlie Daniels Talent Round-up. He's shared the stage with the Dixie Chicks, Sara Evans, Charlie Daniels, Mark Chesnutt and Colin Raye among others.

A BMI writer, Jamie scored a Montgomery Gentry cut entitled 'I Ain't Got It All That Bad"- duet recorded with Hank Jr. Thurston has also worked on projects with producers Charlie Midnight (Doobie Brothers, Joe Cocker and writer of 'Livin' In America' recorded by James Brown), Greg Brown (Travis Tritt) and Chuck Howard (LeAnn Rimes, Billy Dean, John Berry & Trick Pony). 'Jamie Lee is the only rockin' country act that is in the same league as Hank Jr.,' introduces Howard.

With the promotion muscle and the musical powerhouse combined, Country Thunder Records is a label that has established itself to stand up to its name to take the country music scene by storm. Label head Herbert Graham has assembled a team of the best in country radio promotion including Rick Baumgartner, Jim Dorman and Dave Kirth.

The label is set to release Jamie Lee's debut single 'People Out There'* (a co-write with David Lee Murphy) in mid-April [APRIL 2/CDX VOL. 419] from his new CD entitled I JUST WANNA DO MY THING. A project that is as strong as it is proud, it is Jamie Lee complete. The solely produced project contains 11 co-writes with renowned song crafters and hit makers George Teren, Vip Vipperman, David Lee Murphy, Rivers Rutherford, Porter Howell, Tommy Conners and J. B. Rudd. I JUST WANNA DO MY THING will be released in late 2007.
