HENDERSONVILLE (Marty Stewart Fans Website) - Police say that country music star Marty Stuart is now under arrest after a car accident Wednesday afternoon in Hendersonville. Police Chief David Key says the singer allegedly hit two cars on Main Street in front of a McDonald's restaurant. Sumner County officials say they're now expecting to book Stuart on charges of driving under the influence.
Stuart was previously arrested in 2002 at a Hendersonville Wal-Mart and charged with DUI.
A judge later ruled the officer didn't have probable cause to stop Stuart and the charges were dropped. However, the singer did surrender his drivers license and agreed to go to alcohol safety school.
