DALLAS, TX. (Top40 Charts/ Floyd Tolston Official Website) - Singer/songwriter Floyd Tolston has released his hilarious new single, 'Wal Mart Lovers' off his CD Something Special to Country and Americana radio stations. With its memorable lyrics and a catchy melody, the song is a true account of a couple that the artist observed while shopping.

'Every aisle I went down, there they were,' Tolston explains. 'The song is true down to what they had in their shopping cart. After I left the store, there they were. They had some kind of music going, and they were dancing in the parking lot. The first two verses that describe the people are very accurate. The last verse is subjective as to what they might do,' Tolston says.

Since Tolston's performance of 'Wal Mart Lovers' at the cd release party, it has become a huge 'crowd pleaser.' The song has received positive feedback from industry professionals, and appeared on several stations' playlists before the single release.
'Not often does a song come along that does it all. Laugh, cry, make you think, make you smile, and tap your foot, but Floyd Tolston's Wal Mart Lovers does the trick!' says Ralph Hampton, host of BlogTalkRadio's show Ralph's Back Porch. 'For a guy like me who regularly wanders around the local Wal Mart late at night with all the other flip-flop wearing folks staring at the shiny objects, I want Floyd to know how much it means to us folks to have a singer out there who cares!'
'This song is great,' states Bill Hennes, AllAboutCountry.com. 'Great voice.'

Tolston's first single, 'Austin' is still receiving considerable airplay. Earlier this year, 'Austin' boosted the Something Special cd onto the Roots Music Report True Country chart. In contrast, to 'Wal Mart Lovers,' the record's debut single, tells the story of a musician chasing the Nashville dream, and ultimately succumbing to its pitfalls.

'Most of my songs come in the form of a burning bush,' Tolston says. 'I'm not one of those guys who can get up in the morning and say, 'I'm going to write a song today.' Something has to inspire me, or something has to evoke the feeling.'

Tolston will appear twice in early July. On July 6, he will be a guest on Live from the Front Porch with Justin Frazell on 99.5 The Wolf-Dallas airing from 6 pm - 9 pm CST. Tolston returns to Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, Texas for BigFest '08, July 11-13.
