Creator and director Del Shores, thought Jones did an excellent job portraying her mother Tammy Wynette. "It was such a thrill to work with Georgette in my series," stated Shores. "If you know my work, you know my intense love for Tammy Wynette. Georgette not only played her mother in the series to perfection, but she sang all of the Tammy songs that we used and just soared."
Music has been a life-long passion and Georgette hopes to soon have a CD of her own to add to her family legacy. She most recently is featured in a duet with her father George Jones entitled "You And Me And Time", which Georgette co-wrote with Don Pfrimmer and Mark McGuinn. The song is the first single off her dad's new album BURN YOUR PLAYHOUSE DOWN: the unreleased duets soon to be released on Bandit Records.
In her career, Georgette has performed all over the world, but she considers singing at the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry her most special and memorable moments. "I hope country music embraces this very talented woman and she becomes the star that she deserves to be," said Shores. "Besides all that talent, Georgette is just good people. Her mama would be so proud of her. I know I am."
