Josh Abbott Band Inks Label Services Deal With Reviver's 1608 Promotion

Josh Abbott Band Inks Label Services Deal With Reviver's 1608 Promotion
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) 1608 Promotion, the radio promotion division of Reviver Label Services is excited to announce that the company has signed Josh Abbott Band for representation.

"If you take a look at what Josh Abbott Band has been able to do on their own - with their last two albums hitting the top-10 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, you know that the fans really seem to register and identify with what they are doing musically. Taking that next step, and bringing their new radio single 'Wasn't That Drunk' into the band's story, is what we are going to do at Reviver," said company President David Ross.

Longtime favorites on the Texas Music scene, the band is currently on a headline tour of North America. Josh Abbott Band is comprised of Abbott (vocals, guitar), Austin Davis (banjo), Preston Wait (fiddle, guitar), Edward Villanueva (drums), James Hertless (bass guitar) and Caleb Keeter (guitar).

The group's new album, Front Row Seat, is a mixture of rowdy two-steppers along with thought-provoking lyrics about the breakup of a relationship. The disc was released in November of 2015, and debuted #1 Billboard Independent Albums chart. Songs like "Amnesia" and "Ghosts" have made an impact with fans and critics alike. Entertainment Weekly also selected the album as a Top 10 Country Albums of 2015.

Front Row Seat is a 15-song album that encompasses Josh Abbott Band's most intimate and intense writing to date. Sitting behind the glass in the producers' chair for the album was Dwight A. Baker, and was recorded in Austin at Matchbox Studios. Among the writers featured on the record are much-heralded GRAMMY winner Shane McAnally, and Zac Brown Band collaborator Wyatt Durrette. The band also brought in rising vocalists Macy Maloy and Carly Pearce, adding their name to a list of vocalists who have appeared on their records in the past, such as CMA winner Kacey Musgraves, who collaborated with the band in 2011 on the charted single "Oh, Tonight."

Their first trio of independent releases were issued on Abbott's own Pretty Damn Tough label, and have sold over 200,000 copies collectively. In addition, singles such as "Amnesia" and "Touch" have helped them to sell over two million downloads. And, the numbers don't end there. Since 2014, the Josh Abbott Band has sold over 750,000 concert tickets - a success by anyone's standards.
