New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Fresh off her GRAMMY performance, multiple GRAMMY award-winning singer/songwriter
Kacey Musgraves releases the stunning music video for "
Rainbow". Musgraves has recently added 17 new North American shows to her sold-out Oh, What a World: Tour. Following her previously announced tour dates, Kacey will hit the summer festival circuit, becoming the first-ever female country artist to play Coachella, and will then launch the second North American leg of her tour on August 24th at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, CA. These new dates will include returns to major cities such as Phoenix, Philadelphia, Boston, and Toronto, and will make stops in
Santa Fe, Charlotte, and New Orleans, among others (see below for full list of tour dates).
Over the past year, Kacey has toured extensively in support of Golden Hour to massive critical reception, with NPR aptly summarizing, "Kacey Musgraves is magnetic - there are no two ways about it." One month into the sold-out North American leg of her Oh, What a World: Tour, Kacey has dazzled press and fans alike. Billboard declared, "leaving the packed theatre would have anyone convinced: Musgraves isn't just breaking country's rules, but re-writing them," Rolling Stone observed, "with each successive record, culminating in the velvety and confident Golden Hour, Musgraves has expanded both her sonics and her fan base," and Variety enthused, "considering her gradual but inexorable rise over the past five years; considering the accessibility, intelligence, humor, positivity and wide appeal of her songs; considering the praise heaped upon her by critics (not to mention her two GRAMMY wins and the four nominations for her latest album, "
Golden Hour"); and considering, most of all, the rapturous response she receives from her fans, it's hard to imagine that within the next couple of years
Kacey Musgraves won't be one of the biggest stars in music."
On February 10, Kacey performed at the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards and brought home awards for every category she was nominated in - Album of the Year and Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance for "Butterflies," and Best Country Song for "Space Cowboy." Golden Hour has been named Apple Music's Global Album of the Year, and has been hailed as of the best albums of 2018 by everyone from NPR, Time, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, Esquire,Complex, Consequence of Sound, USA Today, Noisey, People, and Vulture, among others. Stereogum proclaims, "again and again, the album makes the incredible feel as natural as breathing," and The Associated Press assures, "Golden Hour will put a smile on your face, and live inside of your heart."
