New York, NY (Top40 Charts) It's been 20 years since Coyote Ugly graced our movie screens and earned an indelible place in our hearts (we know, 20 years. No idea either) and, to celebrate this momentous anniversary, LeAnn Rimes has unleashed a remixed edition of the soundtrack to that cult film on a thankful public.
Roping in her pal Dave Audé - the man behind Audacious Records and with more number ones on the Billboard Dance Club chart than any other producer, thank you very much - to do the remixing honours, The Coyote Ugly 20th Anniversary MegaMix sees the most memorable tracks from the eponymous movie given a 2020 makeover. And there's an accompanying lyric video to go with, should you fancy a sing-along to 'But I Do Love You', The Right Kind of Wrong', 'Please Remember Me' or 'Can't Fight The Moonlight'. Or all of the above.
'I hope that Dave's remixes help dig up some nostalgic memories and lead to some epic dance parties!' says LeAnn. 'Looking back 20 years later, it's crazy to see how big of an impact the movie had on pop culture and how recognized the soundtrack is.'
And the new megamix marks a pivotal next chapter in the career of the Grammy, Billboard and Country Music Award-winning artist, as 2021 sees LeAnn celebrate 25 years as a recording artist and, of course, the release of her mega-selling debut studio album, Blue.
