NBA YoungBoy Shares New Tour Dates For 2018!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) YoungBoy Never Broke announced a string of US tour dates in an Instagram post on Thursday (Aug. 2). The 17-show run kicked off yesterday (Aug. 5) in Charlotte, N.C. and, as of now, closes in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 26. The post announcing his tour notes in the caption that more dates will be added soon.

It's the Baton Rouge, La. native's first tour since being arrested on an outstanding warrant in February while traveling to perform a show in Tallahassee, Fla. He was hit at the time with assault and kidnapping charges and extradited to Georgia where he spent 18 days in jail before being released on a $75,000 bond.

Days after his release, YoungBoy was charged with additional counts of kidnapping and aggravated assault related to a violent altercation with his girlfriend at a Georgia hotel the night before his February arrest. Surveillance footage of the incident shows the rapper slamming his girlfriend to the ground in a hotel hallway, and blood was found in their room.

YoungBoy also faces a suspended 10-year sentence for his admitted role in a non-fatal drive-by shooting in 2016. After the domestic violence arrest, prosecutors sought to revoke the rapper's probation and initiate that suspended sentence, but a judge declined, settling on conditions that required YoungBoy to wear a GPS monitor and forbid him from leaving New Orleans for non-legal reasons for six months. It's unclear when those stipulations no longer applied to the artist, but they must have been altered to allow him to go on tour.

The rapper formerly known as NBA YoungBoy also toured last year with 21 Savage. He appears on YG's new album Stay Dangerous, released on Friday (Aug. 3), and dropped a "reloaded" version of his own album Until Death Call My Name in June. "Astronaut Kid" from that project received a video last Tuesday (July 31).
