New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Dentist, one of the most exciting new indie rock surf punk bands in recent years, have been hitting the road this year and impressing audiences everywhere including at this year's SXSW where the band played two official showcases. The threesome will also be playing in Boise ID at the Movement Project festival before continuing on with a string of dates in April and May.
The band has also prepared a new video from their increasingly popular new album Night Swimming! The video, for the single "Alone In The Garden," was premiered by Austin Town Hall who call the song "a blistering bit of power pop, with just the right hint of dreaminess thrown in for good measure." The video was shot and directed by Dana Yurcisin produced by Biff Swenson and art light direction by Nick Haberstroh.
The band has also received enormous praise from the likes of The AV Club, who proclaimed "Thanks to tight chemistry, killer hooks, and a distinctive sound that's both lo-fi and retro-pop smooth, New Jersey's Dentist have managed to stand out amid a sea of like-minded musical acts. Noisey say "Dentist make beachy guitar music sound so good you'll think it's just as easy to play. And Stereogum declare "Dentist have precision and technicality that borders on math rock, but they also know how to temper their musicality for deft various of energy and aesthetic."
