Pioneers Of The Electro-Cumbia From Colombia, Palenke Soultribe Premiers New Video: Blanco Y Negro
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ ER:M+M) Located in Los Angeles, but with the heart and origins rooted in Colombia, Palenke Soultribe are true pioneers of the crossover between afro-colombian cumbia grooves and electronic dance music.

Their brand new video presents the song "Blanco Y Negro" and was shot entirely in Cartagena, employing local actors. The film was directed and produced by Felipe Holguin (Cumbia Films) in October 2013, and it portrays a folkloric, yet vibrant and modern view on music, love and society. Director Holguin "wanted to make a video that could reflect the flavor of the song, as well as the culture and community of Cartagena".

The narrative describes the illusion of a childhood love , powered by the magic of the accordion and by the rhythm of dancing, in spite of a difficult social and economic situation. "We had the opportunity to work with communities that have music and dance in their blood. The children, John Carlos and Camila , are a true reflection of how wonderful these people are. ", stated Holguin. Natural actors, native of the humble neighborhoods of Cartagena, portray the characters.

The song features two special guests. The first is Colombian singer Macondo Chaverra, known worldwide as Sonora Dinamita's original lead singer . The second artist to collaborate on the track is accordion virtuoso Mr.Vallenato, a Texan with Mexican origins...but a Colombian heart . Mr. Vallento is an ongoing collaborator, often supporting Palenke Soultribe live and in the studio with his performances.

"Blanco Y Negro" is the second single off the album " MAR ", released in April of this year.

"MAR" is available in:
