She may only be 15-years-old, but Queeva possesses drive, vision and a dedication to her craft that far exceeds her years. Raised in a creative Irish clan with six children, Queeva was born in the United States, but her parents hail from Ireland. The young artist divides her time between the two countries, giving her a broader world view than many her age. She has a deep love of both cultures and an appreciation for the language and the music. Even at an early age, she gravitated to country music's greatest storytellers, artists able to illuminate the human experience in song.
By the time she was seven, she was competing in talent competitions and stunning judges with her distinctive vocals. At a Los Angeles competition, she caught the attention of an executive who connected Queeva with Nashville-based singer/songwriter/producer Jamie O'Neal, known for such enduring country hits as "When I Think About Angels," "There is No Arizona" and "Somebody's Hero." Under O'Neal's tutelage Queeva found her voice as a songwriter and her new project is populated with songs that reflect the young singer's positive spirit.
"I really want to try to inspire my audience, especially young people," Queeva says. "That's the main thing I want to do. Since I'm 15, I can relate to a lot of things they are going through. I feel pretty lucky to have the opportunity to reach out to people and I want my music to make a difference. I've always loved music. It's a way of speaking with your heart."
