Spawned from Richard's need to share stories on stage at his solo shows, Stories to Tell has been in the works for nearly the last decade. The book begins a few months before the coronavirus pandemic; then transports us back to 1968 when he was just five years old; takes us on an exciting, insightful, heartbreaking and hilarious journey through his life and career, and culminates a few months after the pandemic lockdown of 2020 with him battling a mysterious illness (and no, not COVID).
Along with his 30 plus year career documented in his always entertaining and matter-of-fact way of speaking, the memoir features vignettes from Richard's colorful experiences with the art and business of music.
