Sister Sadie Moves To No 4 On Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Sister Sadie's self-titled, debut album on Pinecastle Records moved to Number Four on the "Billboard" Bluegrass Album chart after entering at Number Nine for the last chart time period.
"I think I can speak on behalf of the girls in Sister Sadie when I say we are all thrilled, grateful and humbled of hearing the news that we have moved into the number four position in the 'Billboard' chart," says group member Tina Adair. "We want to thank all the DJs for the spins and all of our friends and fans that have bought the new Sister Sadie record! We are excited to be sharing our music with you."
"I am enjoying so much making music with this group and am glad it's being received well," adds Beth Lawrence. "We appreciate all the deejay interaction and the chart activity. We have enjoyed this whole process."
"Sister Sadie" has been at the top position on the Roots Music Report's Bluegrass Top Ten Albums for three weeks. The group's single, "Unholy Water," moved up to number three on The Roots Music Report's Top 50 Bluegrass Song Chart. The song was co-written by group member Deanie Richardson and Bill Tennyson.

The all-girl group has been receiving high praise from peers and reviewers after releasing the album in June.

"No Depression" describes the band's set at the Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival in Salem, New Jersey over Labor Day Weekend, 2015: "Very few people in the audience had seen the band, which was months away from releasing its first recording. But Sister Sadie hit the stage hard with commitment and energy. By midway through the set, the audience was cheering and there were tears in the eyes of many. They received a standing ovation and delivered three encores. By the time they left, Sister Sadie had been booked to return to Delaware Valley for the 2016 festival."

Alison Krauss says this: "Sister Sadie is an inspiring musical collaboration bringing together some of the best women bluegrass music has ever claimed."

"Sister Sadie music isn't light and fluffy, feminine bluegrass. These ladies can consistently pull off a 'hold on for dear life' groove akin to a powerful steam engine barreling down the track - The new Sister Sadie album serves up moonshine, heaven, cheatin', heartbreak, a couple of love songs, one about mama, and a killin' song all from a powerhouse group of women who have been around enough to know exactly what they're doing, and still have an incredible amount of fun while doing it. Highly recommended!" - Nancy Cardwell, Bluegrass Now

Members of Sister Sadie:
Dale Ann Bradley - Five time IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year, on vocals and guitar. She tours with the Dale Ann Bradley Band.

Tina Adair - Talented and soulful vocalist and mandolinist who has been a female vocalist nominee and fronted her own touring band the Tina Adair Band for over 20 years.

Deanie Richardson - Charismatic fiddler who has performed with Bob Seger, The Chieftains, Vince Gill, and Patty Loveless.

Gena Britt - An in demand banjo player known for playing with several critically acclaimed bands over the years. Currently with Alan Bibey & Grasstowne.

Beth Lawrence - A well-known and respected acoustic bass player in demand as a session player. She is also the comedian of the stage show.

Sister Sadie dedicated this debut album to one of their musical heroes, Lynn Morris. Morris and her husband, Marshall Wilborn, wrote the second cut on the CD, "Don't Tell Me Stories."
